What does it mean to be verified?
Too often homeless people are forced to lie out of sheer desperation. We think it's better when relationships are built on trust and honesty. Beam verifies each member in 4 ways:
every member of Beam is referred by a registered homelessness charity.
before their campaign launches, each member is interviewed twice by a Beam Member Manager.
we take references on each member from the charity who refers them and someone in a position of responsibility.
we take great care to verify information in a member's story is true.
It's your money.
We work hard to ensure that you can give confidently.
